The use of a crab cap facilitates the exit of spark plug wires from the side of the distributor cap, significantly reducing the overall height.

Built on the solid foundation of the MSD Pro-Billet distributor line, Ford crab cap distributors leverage MSD's race-proven magnetic pickup and precision reluctor for accurate trigger signals to the MSD Ignition even at high RPM. The reluctor assembly, turned by a hardened steel shaft riding in a sealed ball bearing, ensures stability and endurance. At the top of this shaft sits a fully adjustable mechanical advance assembly.
