MSD engineers have condensed their extensive high-performance distributor expertise into a specially designed compact housing tailored for Ford engines. The unique cap and housing boast a 5/8" reduction in diameter compared to stock Ford distributors, offering additional space in front of the engine. The new MSD cap features terminals resembling spark plugs and is securely fastened to the housing.
This distributor relies on MSD's race-proven magnetic pickup and precision reluctor to deliver accurate trigger signals to the MSD Ignition system, even at high RPM. The reluctor assembly, turned by a hardened steel shaft, is supported by a sealed ball bearing, ensuring stability and endurance during high-speed operation.
At the top of the shaft, a fully adjustable mechanical advance assembly is mounted. The rate of timing advancement is easily controlled by modifying the supplied advance springs and stop bushing for comprehensive timing adjustments.
