World-Class Sound Treatment By Installers For Installers
Traditional sound treatment options tend to fall short by not approaching sound from various angles. Some are foil based, but lack the density of our butyl rubber. Others use open cell acoustic foam which allows for moisture absorption which can lead to mold and mildew issues. Adhesives that don’t grip as strongly as these can lead to install slips and gap formations. SoundShield sheets are oversized so installations can be done cleaner with less seams and disruption in the sound waves.
SoundShield has engineered thier flagship sound treatment product to both address installation concerns as well as exceed standards for sound barrier performance. The triple layer process combines the proven success of acoustic foam with foil and rubber to maximize sound defense and minimize noise spillage.
A high-tac adhesive out performs any other in the market, reducing the need for installation adjustments or allowing gaps that create inefficiencies in the how the product performs.
Benefits:
Reduces road noise.
Reduces panel vibration.
Makes vehicle quieter during hands free calls.
Helps eliminate licenses plate and trunk lid rattles in high power low bass systems.
When used in doors, a layer of SoundShield is recommended on the inside of the outer door skin (behind the speaker cavity), the inner door skin (behind the door panel where a speaker mounts) and even on the back side of plastic or composite door panels with multiple cavities that are prone to vibration from trapped air pockets. Use the same approach when used in rear side panels, hatch backs or rear lift gates.
