Fine-tune the steering characteristics of your micro-racer with this Front Spring Set. Designed specifically for the new Mini-Z MR-04 EVO2 chassis, these springs are the primary tool for adjusting how your car enters and exits corners.
The MR-04 features updated front suspension geometry compared to previous generations, and these springs are calibrated to match the new leverage ratios and roll centers. By swapping these springs, you can dial in the perfect amount of weight transfer (dive) during braking and steering input, tailoring the car to your specific driving style and track surface (RCP or Carpet).
Key Features
-
Complete Tuning Range: Includes 5 pairs of springs with varying stiffness rates, allowing you to go from very soft to very stiff without buying multiple packs.
1 -
Color Coded: Each spring is painted with a specific color code, making it instant to identify the rate on your pit bench.
-
Typical Progression (Soft to Hard): Red $\rightarrow$ Purple $\rightarrow$ Green $\rightarrow$ Orange $\rightarrow$ Yellow (Check packaging for specific rate chart).
-
-
Precision Steel: Manufactured from high-grade spring steel to ensure they return to their original length after thousands of compression cycles without "sagging."
-
Optimized for MR-04: Specifically length-matched for the MR-04 kingpin and lower arm assembly to prevent binding or topping out.
Compatibility
-
Kyosho Mini-Z MR-04 EVO2 (W-MM, N-MM2, etc.)
-
Note: These are designed for the MR-04 geometry. While they may physically fit some MR-03 setups depending on the knuckle used, they are optimized for the EVO2.

Tuning Guide
-
Softer Springs (Red/Purple): Allow more "dive" (weight transfer) onto the front tires during braking. This typically increases turn-in steering (steering entering the corner) but can make the car feel "lazy" returning to center. Best for low-traction tracks.
-
Stiffer Springs (Orange/Yellow): Keep the chassis flat. This increases steering response (twitchiness) and stability on high-grip tracks (like RCP foam) where you want to prevent the car from traction rolling.
