This comprehensive solution enables the removal of transverse leaf springs and OE shocks from your Corvette, providing a genuine independent suspension. By eliminating the "crosstalk" and harsh ride associated with the OEM suspension, the Featherlight Coilovers deliver a superior driving experience. The design incorporates easy adjustments for both ride height and damping, allowing you to fine-tune your Corvette's stance and ride quality.
Loaded with features, these coilovers are precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum and hard anodized for durability. The mono-tube construction employs a floating piston to separate oil and nitrogen gas, ensuring predictable handling and consistent performance. The CIRC (Concentric Integrated Remote Canister) System significantly increases gas volume compared to standard coilovers, resulting in consistent operation across various temperatures and throughout the suspension stroke. The CIRC head features the BOA (Ball on Axis) upper mount, a sealed design that allows full suspension articulation and offers a robust, noise-free mounting solution without sacrificing travel, a common issue with other clevis-style mounts.
The inverted design positions most of the mass on the sprung side of the chassis, enabling quicker and more responsive reactions from the control arms and outboard components without adding unnecessary weight to the coilover itself. This translates to a suspension system that responds swiftly to changes in road conditions, whether you're on the highway, local roads, or the racetrack. The inverted design also allows for the placement of the damping adjuster on the bottom of the shock, facilitating quick and easy adjustments. Utilizing double digressive valve technology, the rotary knob enables simultaneous adjustment of both compression and rebound with 24 distinct settings on the front and rear shocks. This range of settings accommodates various driving preferences, from comfortable street driving to aggressive track performance. We even offer a specially tuned version for drag race setups.
