Expand your battery compatibility with this genuine Spektrum Smart Adapter. This specialized harness is designed to connect a battery with a large IC5 (or EC5) connector to a vehicle or charger equipped with a smaller IC3 (or EC3) connector.

This is the perfect solution if you have high-capacity "Big" batteries (typically 3S or 4S with IC5 plugs) that you want to use in a smaller "Medium" vehicle (like a 1/10 scale crawler or buggy) that comes with an IC3 ESC.

Crucially, this adapter includes the Smart Data Pin wire. This means if you are using a Spektrum Smart Battery and a Smart Charger/ESC, the battery telemetry and health data will still pass through the adapter, maintaining the "Smart" functionality that generic adapters block.

Key Features

  • Connector A (Battery Side): IC5 Male (Designed to plug into an IC5/EC5 Battery).

  • Connector B (Device Side): IC3 Female (Designed to plug into an IC3/EC3 ESC or Charger).

  • Smart Connectivity: Features the integrated grey data wire to support Spektrum Smart Technology (Battery telemetry, auto-storage discharge, etc.).

  • Backward Compatible: Fully compatible with non-Smart EC5 batteries and EC3 devices (the data pin simply won't be active).

  • Heavy-Duty Build: Soldered with high-quality silicone wire to handle the current transfer safely without overheating.

Specifications

  • Length: ~4 Inches (100mm)

  • Wire Gauge: 10 AWG / 12 AWG (tapered for the IC3 side)

  • Input: IC5 / EC5

  • Output: IC3 / EC3

Usage Scenario

  • Ideal For: Running a large battery (e.g., 5000mAh 3S with IC5) in a smaller truck (e.g., Arrma Granite or Vortex with IC3) for incredibly long runtimes.

  • Charging: Allows you to charge an IC5 battery on a charger that only has an IC3 lead available (though usually, you would just use the correct charge lead).
