Restore the steering response of your micro-crawler with this genuine Spektrum SX112 Micro Servo. Designed exclusively for the Axial SCX30 platform, this servo is the factory-standard replacement for the steering system.
In the world of micro-crawling, the steering servo works harder than any other electronic component. Constant adjustments on the rocks and the resistance of grippy rubber tires can eventually wear out the internal motor or strip the tiny gears. This unit drops directly into your SCX30 chassis to get you back on the trail with precise centering and reliable torque.
Key Features
-
Ultra-Micro Form Factor: Engineered to fit the tight confines of the 1/30 scale chassis where every millimeter counts.
-
Direct Fit: Matches the factory mounting points on the SCX30 front axle, requiring no modifications or custom brackets.
-
Plug-and-Play: Pre-wired with the correct micro-connector to plug directly into the SCX30 ESC/Receiver unit (2-in-1).
-
Lightweight: Minimal weight ensures the center of gravity remains low, which is critical for side-hilling performance.
Compatibility
This servo is the specific replacement for the Axial SCX30 platform (e.g., SCX30 Jeep Wrangler JLU).
-
Important Note: This is NOT compatible with the larger Axial SCX24 or AX24 platforms, which use different servo sizes and mounts. Please verify you have the 1/30 scale vehicle before purchasing.
What's Included
-
(1) Spektrum SX112 Micro Servo
-
(1) Micro Servo Horn Screw
-
(Note: Does not typically include the servo horn arm itself; you will need to reuse your existing one or purchase the AXI-3307 Link Set).
Installation Advice
Protecting the Gears: Micro servos utilize very small internal gears.
-
Do not turn the wheels by hand: When the truck is off, forcing the front wheels left or right by hand back-drives the gears and can strip them instantly. Always use the transmitter to turn the wheels.
-
Check for Binding: After installing, ensure your steering links move freely. If a rock jams the steering and the servo keeps buzzing trying to push it, the motor will burn out quickly.
