ReadyLIFT has engineered the perfect solution for leveling the 2014-2018 GM 1500 trucks. GM made significant changes to the upper control arms on the GM 1500 pickups, replacing them with stamped steel upper control arms that offer minimal structural support for the factory ball joint, especially when the vehicle is lifted or leveled. Consequently, GM has mandated that no lift kits or leveling kits should be installed on these new vehicles.
Important Note: This kit is designed exclusively for GM 1500 trucks with stamped steel or aluminum control arm suspension and is not suitable for use with cast steel suspension. If you're unsure about your control arms, you can learn more here.
At ReadyLIFT, the primary goal is to provide accurate and safe lifting and leveling solutions for customers. To address this issue, the engineering team has developed the ideal leveling solution for these new GM 1500 trucks. It includes a CNC machined billet aircraft-grade aluminum 2.25" leveling kit combined with robust DOM-tube steel upper control arms. These new control arms serve as direct replacements for the factory stamped steel arms and feature proprietary heavy-duty ball joints, as well as an industry-first maintenance-free anti-resistance bushing assembly that is self-lubricating and incorporates a free-rotating inner sleeve. With this innovative leveling kit and control arm combination (PN 66-3086), you can now level the 2017-2018 GM 1500 trucks with the assurance that the vehicle will maintain a level stance, preserve the factory ride quality, and eliminate concerns related to factory stamped steel control arm failure. This setup also permits the use of up to a 33x11.50 tire. In some cases, vehicles may require the use of the 15-3485 1/2" front wheel spacer when using certain factory wheels, as factory wheel options and differences in backspacing can vary.
The key features of this solution include premium CNC machined billet aluminum construction for the leveling kit, DOM tube steel upper control arms, heavy-duty ball joints, and innovative maintenance-free bushing assemblies that are self-lubricating and include "side biter" splined washers to ensure proper alignment.
NOTE: To ensure correct leveling kit fitment, it's recommended to use a plumb bob line to measure from the center of the wheel hub to the bottom edge of the fender at the 12 o'clock position while the wheels are pointing straight forward. If this measurement exceeds 22", it indicates that the truck already has some factory or aftermarket front lift compared to a base truck. In such cases, #66-3086 or #66-3085 should be modified to account for the pre-installed lift. Incorrectly using these kits on a truck with a measurement greater than 22" may result in component interference and excessive wear.
