For Ford enthusiasts contending with distributor clearance challenges from blowers, air cleaners, or other part interferences, MSD introduces the low-profile crab cap style distributor. The incorporation of a crab cap enables spark plug wires to exit the side of the distributor cap, significantly reducing the overall height.
Ford crab cap distributors are constructed on the proven foundation of the MSD Pro-Billet distributor line. They leverage MSD's race-proven magnetic pickup and precision reluctor for accurate trigger signals to the MSD Ignition during high rpm. The reluctor assembly is rotated by a hardened steel shaft housed in a sealed ball bearing for stability and endurance at high rpm. At the top of this shaft sits a fully adjustable mechanical advance assembly.
