Utilizing the same advanced CNC machining methods applied across the MSD Distributor range, the Oldsmobile housing is precision-machined from top-quality 6061-T6 aluminum. Reinforcing this structure are two sealed ball bearings that impeccably guide the 0.500" shaft, ensuring accuracy even at speeds exceeding 10,000 rpm.
Atop the polished steel shaft, MSD's adjustable mechanical advance assembly is TIG-welded for durability. To precisely trigger the ignition system, a high-output magnetic pick-up is securely bolted to the base, generating a meticulous trigger signal. The distributor is complemented by an MSD red cap with brass terminals and a Race Rotor.
