Crafted with precision, the housing of this distributor is machined from a solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum using state-of-the-art CNC technology, ensuring exact tolerances. To maintain high rpm stability, a .500" steel shaft is supported by a sealed ball bearing and a lengthy sintered bushing. The shaft is coated with QPQ for reduced friction and enhanced resistance to corrosion. A meticulously machined reluctor is attached to the shaft, triggering the magnetic pick-up mounted in the housing—an exceptionally accurate ignition trigger with no moving parts for maintenance-free operation. Just above the pick-up, MSD's adjustable mechanical advance assembly awaits.
For optimal customization, various springs and stop bushings are provided to tune the advance curve to suit your application.
This distributor must be used with an MSD 6, 7, or 8-series ignition.
