The MSD Ignition is triggered by a maintenance-free magnetic pickup, providing accuracy within 1° at any rpm, eliminating concerns about points float or issues at high speeds. The pickup is activated by a precision reluctor attached to a hardened steel shaft, guided by a sealed ball bearing for enhanced stability. Recognizing the variability in engine applications, the MSD Billet distributor incorporates an easily adjustable mechanical advance assembly. By modifying the advance springs and stop bushing, you can fine-tune among 24 different advance curves.
