MSD's Ready-to-Run Ford Distributors stand as an optimal upgrade for unwieldy DuraSpark systems or antiquated breaker point models. These distributors arrive fully assembled and ready for immediate use, requiring a straightforward installation of dropping it into the engine, connecting three wires, and firing up the engine. Each distributor incorporates an ignition module that generates a potent inductive spark, enhancing fuel mixture combustion for quick starts, smooth idle, and heightened overall performance.

The billet aluminum housings of these distributors are 5/8" smaller in diameter, designed to accommodate induction setups and fit seamlessly into compact engine compartments. A maintenance-free magnetic pickup triggers high-voltage sparks, guided by an oversized shaft with a sealed ball bearing.

Beneath the bolt-down cap and MSD race rotor, MSD's accurate mechanical advance assembly allows for easy tuning of the curve to meet specific needs. The distributors are equipped with different advance springs and stop bushings for flexible tuning. Additionally, a vacuum advance canister enhances fuel efficiency during extended drives, and the distributors feature an easy-to-set rev limiter for added protection.
