MSD's Ready-to-Run Ford Distributors serve as an excellent upgrade for cumbersome DuraSpark systems or outdated breaker point models. These distributors come fully assembled and ready for immediate use. Installation is a breeze – simply drop it into the engine, connect three wires, and start the engine. Each distributor boasts an ignition module that generates a potent inductive spark, enhancing fuel mixture combustion for quick starts, smooth idling, and elevated overall performance.
Constructed with billet aluminum housings 5/8" smaller in diameter, these distributors are designed to accommodate induction setups and fit snugly in tight engine compartments. A maintenance-free magnetic pickup triggers high-voltage sparks, guided by an oversized shaft with a sealed ball bearing.
Beneath the bolt-down cap and MSD race rotor lies an accurate mechanical advance assembly. Various advance springs and stop bushings are provided, facilitating easy customization of the curve to suit specific needs. The inclusion of a vacuum advance canister enhances fuel efficiency during extended drives, while an easily adjustable rev limiter provides additional protection.
