MSD's Ready-to-Run Ford Distributors offer a seamless upgrade for outdated DuraSpark systems or traditional breaker point models. These distributors come fully assembled and ready to use, requiring just a simple three-wire connection for engine ignition. With an integrated ignition module that generates a potent inductive spark, these distributors enhance fuel combustion for swift starts, smooth idling, and improved overall performance.
Crafted from billet aluminum, the distributor housings are designed to be 5/8" smaller in diameter, making them ideal for induction setups and confined engine compartments. The maintenance-free magnetic pickup triggers high-voltage sparks, guided by an oversized shaft with a sealed ball bearing.
Beneath the bolt-down cap and MSD race rotor lies an accurate mechanical advance assembly. This assembly includes various advance springs and stop bushings for easy customization of the curve to match specific requirements. Additionally, a vacuum advance canister is provided for enhanced fuel efficiency during extended drives. For added protection, an easily adjustable rev limiter is included.
