The Power Grid Ignition System represents the next stage in the evolution of MSD's Programmable 7-Series Ignition Controls. Boasting an efficient 32-bit microcontroller and the all-new MSD View software, the Power Grid is USB-compatible. The user-friendly Windows-based software features tabs for easy navigation through different programming windows and parameters. Additionally, ignition data acquisition files are now conveniently stored on a micro SD card for seamless storage and review.
Integrating CAN-Bus technology, the Power Grid Ignition System minimizes wiring complexity and facilitates the integration of accessory modules. The CAN-Bus serves as a universal harness, simplifying the connection of accessory controls and their incorporation into the View Software's programming library. This innovative technology enables direct connectivity between the Power Grid system and Racepak Data Recorder, along with other Racepak products.
The Power Grid Controller serves as the central intelligence of the entire system, offering advanced ignition tuning capabilities when used with any MSD Ignition or the Pro Mag. While compatible with all MSD boxes, the Power Grid System Controller is specifically designed for seamless mounting to the Power Grid-7 box. Notably, this new ignition delivers higher output compared to existing programmable units!
The Power Grid Controller comes complete with the View Software, wiring harness, micro-SD card, and mounting hardware. The ignition, available separately, includes the harness and mounting hardware.
NOTE: To utilize any modules with the Power Grid Ignition System (PN 7720 and 7730), users MUST connect the modules to a 4-Connector CAN-Bus Hub (PN 7740) for attachment to the Power Grid System Controller.
