MPI F142B Racing Steering Wheel – Aluminum Frame
The MPI F142B Model is a specifically designed and rigorously tested racing steering wheel for the toughest long-distance off-road races in the world, such as Dakar and Baja. Prioritizing safety, the F142B incorporates advanced engineering and materials to meet the demands of extreme racing conditions.
Safety is paramount in all MPI products. The F142B's inner structure is engineered to deform under elevated impacts, absorbing the load and reducing the effect on the driver's upper body, thus providing an engineered safety advantage. The inner foam injection has been developed to have the highest vibration absorption rate in the industry, ensuring maximum comfort and control.
The steering wheel features a special oval-shaped grip with extreme thumb inserts, making it naturally comfortable for the driver to hold. The unibody aluminum structure, with no horn button, increases rigidity and durability, while the reinforced areas over the two button holes endure the rigors of off-road usage. Hand-wired using the highest quality industry materials, the F142B includes two APEM IP67 waterproof tactile buttons and RAYCHEM shrink boots, ensuring reliability in harsh conditions.
The F142B is available with two different covering materials, both featuring the MPI Orange marker:
- Suede: Offers a very high grip feel with a sporty look, preferred for track and tuning usage. The parallel MPI Orange hand-stitched finish reduces the effort needed to hold the wheel while increasing driver feedback.
- Pixel (PX): An extreme weather, washable material with MPI Orange crossed stitching, preferred for outdoor and off-road usage.
Each wheel is individually serial numbered for traceability and comes complete with MPI's dedication to quality and attention to detail.
