Tighten up the handling of your desert racer with this complete Steering Hardware Set. This kit contains the essential metal components and fasteners required to rebuild the steering bellcrank assembly and servo saver on the Losi Baja Rey and Rock Rey platforms.

Over time, the steering posts can wear, and the servo saver spring can lose tension, leading to "sloppy" steering where the wheels wander or fail to center perfectly. This kit provides the factory-fresh hardware needed to eliminate that play and restore crisp, precise control.

Key Features

  • Servo Saver Mechanism: Includes the heavy-duty Servo Saver Spring and the knurled Adjustment Nut. This mechanism is critical for protecting your steering servo gears from stripping during hard impacts.

  • Steering Posts: Provides the metal pivot posts that the plastic bellcranks rotate on. Fresh posts ensure smooth operation and reduce wobble.

  • Factory Fit: Genuine Losi hardware ensures correct tolerances, so your steering moves freely without binding.

  • Maintenance Essential: A must-have kit for a high-mileage chassis overhaul or if you are upgrading to a high-torque servo and need a fresh saver spring.

Compatibility

This hardware set is designed for the 1/10 Scale Rey Platform:

  • Losi Baja Rey (1/10 4WD Desert Truck)

  • Losi Rock Rey (1/10 4WD Rock Racer)

  • Losi Hammer Rey (1/10 U4 Rock Racer)

What's Included

  • (2) Steering Posts (Metal)

  • (1) Servo Saver Spring

  • (1) Servo Saver Adjustment Nut

  • (1) Servo Saver Tube/Sleeve

  • Assorted Screws & Washers for the steering assembly

  • Note: This kit contains the metal hardware only. It typically does not include the plastic bellcrank arms (Part # LOS231006).

Tuning Tip: When assembling the Servo Saver, tightening the knurled nut compresses the spring.

  • Too Loose: The steering will feel "mushy" and the wheels won't turn fully in thick dirt.

  • Too Tight: The saver won't activate during a crash, potentially stripping your servo gears.

  • Sweet Spot: Tighten it until it is firm, but back it off slightly so it can still compress under a heavy hit.
