Fine-tune the steering response of your 1/27 scale racer with these Low Height Slick Tires. These are the "Low Profile" version of Kyosho's standard narrow tires, featuring a thinner sidewall to reduce tire squirm and lower the chassis center of gravity.

Rated at 20 Shore (20°), this is a Soft compound designed for maximum grip. These are most commonly used as Front Tires on RWD cars to provide aggressive turn-in steering, or on AWD drift/grip cars to keep the chassis planted.

Key Features

  • Low Profile Design: The outer diameter is slightly smaller than the standard "High Grip" (MZW2) tires. This thinner rubber reduces "sidewall roll" in hard corners, making the steering feel sharper and more direct.

  • 20 Shore (Soft): Provides very high traction. Excellent for smooth surfaces like RCP (foam) tracks or clean urethane.

  • Narrow Width (8.5mm): Designed to fit standard Narrow wheels.

  • Value Pack: Includes 4 Tires in the package.

Compatibility

  • Wheels: Fits Narrow (8.5mm) Mini-Z wheels only. (Will not fit Wide rear wheels).

  • Chassis:

    • MR-03 / MR-04 / RWD: Standard fitment for Front wheels.

    • MA-020 / MA-030 AWD: Fits Front and Rear (if running a square narrow setup).

Tech Tip: Why "Low Height"?

Preventing Traction Rolls: On high-grip tracks (like RCP), standard height tires can sometimes have too much "side bite," causing the car to flip over in corners (traction roll).

  1. Lower CG: These tires lower the car by a fraction of a millimeter, improving stability.

  2. Stiffer Feel: Because there is less rubber to flex, the car reacts faster to steering inputs.

  3. Diameter: Since these are smaller diameter, they slightly lower your top speed (effective gearing). You may need to gear up 1 tooth on the pinion to compensate if you are racing.
