The Hybrid, an iconic dual outlet blow-off valve, has made a triumphant return, marking two decades since the introduction of the world's first such valve. The year was 1998, long before the era of Justin Bieber, Y2K, or even Google. GFB's pioneering engineer, John Adrian, faced the frustration of his new WRX stalling due to an atmosphere-venting blow-off valve. Determined to address this issue, he embarked on a mission to create the world's inaugural dual port BOV.

This groundbreaking invention, named the "Hybrid," would go on to become the flagship model of the newly established company, Go Fast Bits. The Hybrid's two venting ports were ingeniously positioned on the valve body, with the recirculation port opening before the atmospheric port. This innovative design prevented issues like backfiring and stalling in vehicles equipped with a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor while still delivering the signature blow-off sound during spirited driving.

The success of the Hybrid's technology influenced the entire BOV industry, inspiring other brands to adopt a similar approach. The Hybrid itself evolved into GFB's subsequent innovations, such as the venting bias adjustable BOV, now known as the Respons TMS, and its electronically adjustable counterpart, the Deceptor Pro.

While recent years have seen a focus on these advanced products, the Hybrid was temporarily absent from the market. To commemorate the two-decade anniversary of one of the most influential BOVs in the turbo world, GFB has decided to bring the Hybrid back into production. Furthermore, in a delightful twist, the significance of the dual-port venting system and the new Hybrid valve received international recognition. Among 3,000 entries, it was honored with a Global Media Award at the 2017 SEMA show.
