This specific 6000-Series fitting allows a builder to assemble onto a standard -4 AN PTFE lined hose, but the female swivel nut on the end is stepped down to a smaller -3 AN size. This is incredibly useful when running a larger -4 AN line for increased fluid volume, but needing to connect directly into a -3 AN male port on a brake caliper or clutch master cylinder without stacking bulky adapter unions.
