Crafted for applications with limited hood clearance, this Edelbrock Low Profile elbow offers a solution tailored to specific needs. Specifically designed for compatibility with our 29085 Victor Jr LS1, it necessitates cowl trimming and an SS hood for proper fitment. However, versatility is a key attribute, as the 3848 Elbow is suitable for various square bore (4150 style) manifold applications.
This elbow is adaptable for use on any of our Victor EFI Square bore (4150) style manifolds, allowing flexible mounting options—whether forward, backward, or sideways. Due to its low profile, a one-inch spacer becomes essential for small or Big Block Chevy forward mount configurations to clear the water neck.
The 3848 adaptor is compatible with LS1 80 mm (utilizing PN 2737 adaptor), Edelbrock PN 3869 90mm Universal, or Ford style 75mm throttle bodies. Key features include a bolt pattern fitting LS1, LS2, and Ford 5.0L based throttle bodies, adaptability to standard (4150 style) square bore manifolds, and variable mounting configurations.
The throttle bore center is positioned 7.00" forward and only 2.00" up from the manifold 4150 flange, with the throttle body pointing downward on a 5-degree angle. For ultra-low applications, our PN 3847 elbow provides an even lower profile, sitting 9.00" forward and only 0.56" above the flange, with a 12-degree downward throttle body angle.
