The B&M Pro Gate shifter is an externally gated race shifter designed for GM 4-speed automatic transmissions. Its compact and lightweight design incorporates a robust 10-gauge black oxide-coated 304 stainless steel base with a durable 303 stainless steel shift pin, ensuring longevity and bullet-proof performance. The 1018 steel shift stick, accompanied by a black B&M logo shift knob, facilitates smooth shifting. The external gate plate, made from black oxide-coated 11-gauge 304 stainless steel, guarantees durability. The 4-speed gated forward shift pattern features positive stops between gears, enabling easy and precise shifts.
Additional features include thick injection-molded nylon side covers with a knurled texture and the B&M Pro Gate logo on both sides. These removable covers provide access to the virtually maintenance-free shifter sub-assembly and resist dirt buildup for optimal shift performance, making it ideal for Off-Road racing. The rear exit cable design includes a black 5-ft Super Duty race shifter cable, a cable bracket, shift lever, and all necessary hardware for a straightforward installation. The shifter comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
Note: This shifter is not recommended for street use without additional components, as it lacks neutral safety or backup light switches. For street use, consider adding the B&M 80850 Pro Gate Switch Kit. Fits all GM 4-speed Automatic Transmissions, and may require B&M #75499 for 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, 4L75E, 4L80E, and 4L85E Automatic Transmissions with PRNDL Switch.
