Specifically designed for a seamless fit in the factory console of your 1973-1981 Camaro or 1970-1981 Firebird, this console model retains the trigger-less shift handle design characteristic of all Quicksilver shifters.
Operating the shifter is a breeze – when in Park, lift the handle and pull back, letting it drop into Reverse. Once out of Park, there's no need to lift the handle until you want to access Reverse or Park. From Drive, lifting the handle straight up bypasses the reverse lockout safety feature, allowing you to shift forward into Reverse or Park with ease.
The reverse lockout feature meets NHRA and IHRA safety regulations, preventing accidental shifts into reverse during strip passes. To engage the ratcheting function at the strip, shift into low gear, launch the vehicle, and hit the shifter forward when it's time to shift. The chrome bezel, shift stick, and knob, complemented by the black boot and deep blue medallion, add classic muscle car style to your second-gen Camaro or Firebird interior, delivering fast and smooth ratchet shifting.
The shifter includes a lighted gear position indicator in the bezel, attaches to the factory shift cable, and comes with all necessary hardware, detailed instructions, and everything needed for an easy installation at home. Compatible with TH350, TH400, 700R4, 200R4, and 4L60 transmissions right out of the box.
Notes: 4L60E - 4L80E transmissions with PRNDL switch will require installation kit #75498 (without PRNDL switch use #35498) and B&M cable #80605.
