The B&M StarShifter embodies a unique blend of performance, versatility, and classic muscle car aesthetics in a 3-speed shifter. With a dual personality, it operates as a smooth, straight-line detent shifter akin to OEM shifters, allowing seamless movement between gears. When the need for a ratcheting function arises, simply engage it by lowering the shifter into low gear, pulling the trigger up, and concurrently pulling the shift handle down to activate the ratchet mode.
In ratchet mode, precise, one-gear-at-a-time shifts are ensured, preventing over-shifting during critical moments. The shifter is equipped with a reverse lockout, meeting NHRA/IHRA safety standards for track races. The T-handle and accordion-style shift boot not only enhance the racing aesthetics but also pay homage to its racing heritage, reminiscent of its sibling, the MegaShifter.
Additional features include a customizable black console, a 5-foot shift cable, cable brackets, transmission shift levers, chrome-plated top plate, and comprehensive installation components. The console can be trimmed to match the vehicle's floor contour for a tailored fit. For the avid performance enthusiast, an optional T-handle with a 12-volt button is available to control accessories like trans-brakes or nitrous oxide.
Compatible with most popular transmissions such as Chrysler A727, A904, A518, Ford C4, C5, C6, and AOD, as well as GM 3-speed automatic transmissions.
