Refresh the under-armor of your stadium truck with these Lower Skid Plates. These are the sacrificial composite guards that sit at the very bottom of the front and rear bumpers.

When you case a jump or scrape across concrete, these plates take the hit so your actual bumper loops and chassis screws don't have to. On the Arrma Vorteks, these are often the first part to get scratched up, which means they are doing their job.

Key Features

  • Composite Construction: Molded from Arrma's tough black composite plastic to resist abrasion and absorb impacts.

  • Screw Protection: Designed to cover the mounting screws of the bumper assembly, preventing the screw heads from being ground off by asphalt (which makes removing the bumper later nearly impossible).

  • Directional Markings: Parts are often molded with "Front" or "Rear" indicators (or are distinct shapes) to ensure correct installation.

  • Direct Replacement: Exact factory fit for the unique bumper geometry of the Vorteks platform.

Compatibility

These are specific to the bumper design of the:

  • Arrma Vorteks 4x4 3S BLX

  • Note: These likely DO NOT fit the Granite, Big Rock, or Senton, as those trucks use different bumper skid designs.

What's Included

  • (1) Front Lower Skid Plate

  • (1) Rear Lower Skid Plate

  • (Note: Hardware screws are typically not included; you reuse the existing ones).

Installation Advice

Don't Wait Too Long: If your current skid plates are worn down to the screw heads, replace them now.

  1. The "Grind" Issue: If you wait until the skid plate is completely worn through, the pavement will grind the heads off the screws that hold it on. Once that happens, you have to cut the bumper off to fix it.

  2. Direction: Match the shape of the skid plate to the bumper loop (Front vs. Rear). They are shaped differently to match the chassis kick-up angle.

Tech Tip: Titanium Screws: Since these plates see a lot of concrete scraping, some bashers upgrade the screws that hold these plates on to Titanium or harder steel, or simply put a piece of duct tape over them to keep gravel out of the screw heads.
