American Autowire's objective with the Highway 22 Plus is to maintain the original feel while incorporating modernization and ease-of-use improvements for both backyard and professional builders.

Here are the key new features:

• Each kit now includes a built-in LED flasher, supporting LED turn signals without the need for an additional purchase.
• Backup light feed and power wires have been added, streamlining the harness installation in more modern vehicles.
• The pre-installed 20-amp relay can easily be switched to function as either a keyed 12-volt or ground-triggered item.
• Enhanced instructions now cover a broader range of examples and real-world scenarios, with updated panel labeling and wording modifications for clarity.
• The wiper circuit has been upgraded to a 20-amp fuse to support all aftermarket wiper systems and is now an accessory circuit for increased adaptability.
• The AC/Heat fuse has been moved to an accessory circuit to prevent draw from the blower motor during vehicle startup.
• All kits feature our new high-amp alternator and main power connection kit, allowing for the use of high-amp alternators and providing superior fuse protection for the panel and charging system. This connection kit uses 6-gauge wire and two 175-amp Megafuses.
• Additional connectors and wiring have been included to easily support a 4-headlight system without requiring an extra add-on purchase.
• Longer neutral safety wires are provided for cars with console shifters.
