The B&M® Transpak represents the advancement beyond the B&M Shift Improver kit, incorporating all its features and introducing additional manual control for drivers (compatible with GM TH-400, 350, Ford C-6, and Chrysler Torqueflite). This Transpak kit is tailored for 1968-1981 GM TH350 automatic transmissions. Unlike most stock automatic transmissions that limit downshifting and automatically upshift at predetermined speeds, the Transpak offers a unique advantage. It enables downshifting at any speed and allows you to keep the transmission in first gear at your desired speed. This functionality proves valuable for vehicles with modified engines seeking extra RPMs, as well as for towing trailers or navigating downhill with heavy loads.
Stage 1 - Heavy Duty: Designed for street rods, regular passenger vehicles, and heavy-duty applications. It provides a firmer shift feel without harshness, significantly enhancing transmission performance and lifespan while maintaining comfort in normal automatic operation when in Drive.
Stage 2 - Hi-Performance: Tailored for high-performance street use, Stage 2 is essentially similar to Heavy Duty mode but with much quicker shifts. It retains full automatic features and standard shift points with the selector in Drive. Please note that this kit does not fit GM TH350C transmissions.
