The MPI KQR and KQS models represent MPI’s top-of-the-line quarter midget steering wheels, designed with the utmost focus on safety and performance. Engineered to withstand the rigorous demands of young racers, these wheels incorporate MPI's advanced safety technologies to provide both protection and superior handling.
The inner structure of each wheel is meticulously engineered to deform under high-impact conditions, absorbing forces and reducing the impact on the driver’s upper body, offering an essential safety advantage. The spoke structure features holes that allow for bracket-less AIM installation, simplifying setup and adjustment. The inner foam provides the highest vibration absorption rate in the industry, ensuring a smooth driving experience.
The KQR and KQS models are tailored for young racers with a special round small grip that is easy for smaller hands to hold. Two versions are available to cater to different preferences: the MPI-KQR-11 features a classic round shape, while the MPI-KQS-11 includes a flat top and bottom for improved visibility and increased leg room.
Both models use a blend of carbon-look material with strategic areas finished in an extreme grip carbon look covering (MPI RG material) with MPI Orange™ crossed stitching, enhancing grip and reducing the effort needed to hold the wheel. MPI Orange™ markers provide a clear visual reference for the steering wheel position, aiding both driver and crew chief.
Each steering wheel is individually serial numbered for traceability and comes with a super light center pad for added driver protection. Built in Italy with an aerospace-grade lightweight TI.G welded aluminum core, wrapped in proprietary MPI vibration-absorbing foam, these wheels are engineered for excellence.
