Why Not Just Use a Spacer?
While many BOV spacers in the market generate noise, they do so simply by using the factory diverter valve and redirecting the air to the atmosphere. As a result, the performance deficiencies of the factory diverter valve design persist, and furthermore, the flow capacity of the factory diverter is significantly reduced due to the small venting holes used in these BOV spacers.
ECU vs. Vacuum Control
Other BOV kits eliminate ECU control entirely, relying on pure manifold vacuum control instead. Although this approach is acceptable (as it's how the majority of BOVs work), ECU control is significantly faster and can detect and respond to much smaller throttle transitions.
