Joining GFB's groundbreaking DV+ lineup is the T9353, meticulously designed to fit within the tight confines of the Mini N18 engine bay. Due to the limited space around the factory diverter valve on the N18 engine, the existing Mini DV+ (Part T9352) cannot be used. Instead, the T9353 kit divides the DV+ into two components: the valve and the solenoid, connected by hoses, allowing for the lower placement of the solenoid in the engine bay, effectively avoiding any interference.
Contrarily, other manufacturers' products necessitate the complete replacement of the system with a traditional pneumatic valve (i.e., without electronic control). This approach represents a technological regression akin to replacing fuel injection with a carburetor. It results in slower response times and essentially eliminates the ECU's control over valve operation.
