Building on the success of the Gen 5 3.0L, Whipple now introduces the Gen 5 3.8L setup for the 2011-2021 Mustang GT, Boss 302, and Shelby GT350, further pushing the boundaries of positive displacement supercharging.
The Gen 5 3.8L Whipple Supercharger retains the acclaimed features of its predecessor, including all-new bearings, gears, rotors, and housing, ensuring enhanced performance and longevity.
In testing, the 3.8L demonstrates a remarkable 6% increase in isentropic efficiency compared to the 3.0L, showcasing its superior capabilities.
Included in this upgrade kit are essential components such as the 3.8L Head Unit, 3.8L Intercooler and Lid Setup, and Engine Lowering Kit. Please note that additional components such as the Supercharger Pulley, Belt Drive System, Heat Exchanger, Cold Air Intake, Throttle Body, Heat Exchanger, Intercooler Reservoir, Intercooler pump, and hoses for the intercooler system are not included.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to upgrade to a 10 Rib System for over 18PSI. Additionally, the Cobrajet Intercooler Upgrade requires an aftermarket hood due to clearance issues with the stock hood. Additional intercooler hose routing, hoses, and fittings may also be required.
