However, please note that this kit is not compatible with factory 348 & 409 engines, and while it may not work with aftermarket suspension systems that alter the original setup, inquiries are welcome for specific applications.
The comprehensive kit includes everything needed for installation: a rack and pinion assembly, mounting bracket, mounting hardware, outer tie rod ends, and a complete pump and line kit. The pump is specifically matched to the gear and comes with a clip-on reservoir and a single V-groove pulley, with serpentine pulleys available as an option.
The steering shaft kit features two u-joints and the necessary shafting for optimal connectivity. With a pinion type/size of 3/4" - 36 spline, the system offers 7 inches of travel and 3 turns lock to lock, providing responsive handling. The pressure port size is 18mm - 6 AN, and the return port size is 16mm - 8AN. This system requires a high flow/pressure pump and includes M14 x 1.5 inner end threads for secure installation.
