The UniSteer Manual Rack and Pinion kit for the 1967-69 Camaro and 1968-74 Nova is engineered to deliver the precise steering control and performance that classic muscle car enthusiasts demand. Built around UniSteer's proprietary rack and pinion design, this system is machined to ensure that the internal pivot points match the original center link and control arms on your Camaro or Nova front end. The rack comes pre-mounted to a simple, one-piece bracket that easily bolts behind the stock cross member using the rear lower control arm bolts. Installation is straightforward—just slide out the original bolts and replace them with the supplied longer bolts to secure the rack in place. The manual rack offers sufficient travel, so additional steering arms are unnecessary.

This kit is versatile, allowing you to choose between using the factory steering column or an aftermarket column. You can opt for a two or three u-joint shaft kit, depending on your setup, and select the appropriate column mount—factory, 1" DD, or 1"-48 tooth spline. If retaining the factory column, UniSteer's factory column adaptor is recommended. This adaptor bolts into place, replacing the rag joint and providing a spline for attaching a u-joint.

The manual rack kits are compatible with both small block and big block engines, though clearance issues may arise with certain headers, particularly if aftermarket heads with raised exhaust floors are used.
