To effectively operate any computer-directed engine management system, continuous monitoring of the throttle position is crucial. Electronic fuel injection (EFI)-equipped vehicles come with a throttle position sensor (TPS) located on the throttle body. In carbureted applications where a TPS is not inherently present, the TCI EZ-TCU Transmission Controller and other aftermarket controllers require one. TCI offers a solution known as the "Remote TPS," which doesn't need to be directly mounted on the carburetor but can be conveniently placed in a remote location. The TCI Remote TPS provides the necessary throttle position reference, enabling any carbureted application to integrate seamlessly with the popular TCI transmission management electronics.
