These RPM-Activated Switches offer versatile functionality, allowing for various actions such as illuminating a bulb, engaging a solenoid, or triggering an MSD Timing Control at specific RPM levels.
The RPM-Activated Switch, PN 8950, features two activation wires—one for grounding a circuit and the other for opening a circuit. By inserting an RPM module and connecting the switch to the desired circuit, activation occurs when the engine reaches the specified RPM, and the circuit remains active until the RPM drops below that threshold.
The RPM Window Switch, PN 8956, provides dual RPM adjustments—one for circuit activation and the other for deactivation. Deactivating a circuit by removing ground is particularly useful for disabling nitrous before reaching the engine's RPM limit. Both switches are compatible with stock inductive ignitions or an MSD Ignition, capable of handling up to 1.5 amps. Note that RPM modules are not included and must be ordered separately from the available selection. Suitable for use on 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines.
