The MSD Crab Cap Distributors are purpose-built for racing engines facing severe spatial constraints due to tunnel rams or blowers. Featuring a specialized low-profile crab-style distributor cap, these distributors are crafted to fit seamlessly into extremely confined spaces.
The housing incorporates two optional O-rings at the base, enhancing oil control by preventing oil pressure loss. Additionally, a small oil bleed hole in the base sprays oil onto the distributor and camshaft gears, preventing excessive wear. As a racing distributor, it includes an adjustable slip collar to accommodate engines where the distance between the mounting surface and the gear has been modified.
Crowning this distributor is MSD's Crab Cap, featuring spark plug-style terminals for an enhanced connection and grip to the plug wires.
