Driven Racing Oil BR40 Conventional 10W-40 Break-In Oil offers the same high Zinc and Phosphorus formula as the original break-in oil, now in a versatile SAE 10W-40 viscosity. This formulation is well-suited for classic muscle cars, European sports cars, and motorcycle engines, making it an ideal choice for enthusiasts who demand peak performance during the crucial break-in period.

Designed for flat tappet and aggressive roller valve trains, BR40 is compatible with ethanol-blended fuels, pure methanol, and oxygenated race fuels. Proper Break-In Procedure:

Driven’s break-in oil is exceptionally high in ZDDP (typically 2800-3000 PPM) but features low detergent levels. This low detergent content allows the “fast burn” ZDDP additive to adhere directly to all ferrous metal wear surfaces, providing maximum scuffing protection.

1. Run the break-in oil for the first 30 minutes.
2. Change the filter and oil, replacing it with fresh break-in oil to flush out wear metals and assembly lubricants.
3. Continue running approximately 400 miles on break-in oil.
4. Change the filter again and replace the break-in oil with your usual Driven Racing Oil.
