Driven GP-1 30 Grade Break-In Specialty Motor Oil offers optimized protection for engines during the critical break-in process, combining genuine Pennsylvania Grade base oil with Driven’s proprietary High Zinc (ZDDP) and low-detergent formulation. This oil is crafted to safeguard flat tappet, overhead, and roller cam engines, helping reduce initial engine wear and promoting a proper piston ring seal for lasting performance. With an elevated ZDDP level of 2800-3000 PPM, GP-1 provides the necessary anti-wear film without the interference of detergents, allowing ZDDP to fully adhere and protect crucial engine components. Suitable for dyno tuning, short racing intervals, or up to 400 miles on the street, GP-1 Break-In 30 eliminates the need for additional break-in additives, simplifying the break-in process.
For best results, Driven recommends using GP-1 for the first 30 minutes, followed by an oil and filter change, and another 400 miles with GP-1 Break-In oil before switching to standard Driven Racing Oil.
Driven GP-1 30W Break-In Oil is purpose-formulated exclusively for engine break-in and will not meet current API or OEM specifications due to its performance-focused additive levels.
