The Chase Bays Adjustable Proportioning Valve is expertly engineered to allow users to fine-tune the front-to-rear brake bias in their vehicle. Achieving the ideal brake balance is crucial for optimal performance, and in most cases, this means providing greater pressure to the front brakes than to the rear. This adjustable valve is included in our popular Brake Line Relocation Kits, setting a higher standard compared to competitors who rely on the factory proportioning valve, which can significantly diminish pedal feel and overall performance. Premium Construction Manufactured from high-quality 6061 aluminum, the Chase Bays Adjustable Proportioning Valve is designed for durability and performance. The anodized black finish not only enhances aesthetics but also ensures resistance to corrosion. A Delrin adjustment knob allows for easy, precise adjustments, while the Chase Bays logo is laser etched on both sides, reflecting the premium quality of the product. The valve features 1/8 NPT threads and comes with two black 1/8 NPT to -3 AN straight adapters for seamless integration into your brake system. Additionally, a Chase Bays Mounting Bracket is included to simplify installation. Adjustable Features The Chase Bays Adjustable Proportioning Valve offers significant control over braking dynamics: Knob Threaded All the Way In/Down: This setting directs 90% of the total braking pressure to the rear, reducing pressure by 10%. Knob Threaded All the Way Out/Up: This setting allows only 40% of the total braking pressure to the rear, effectively reducing it by 60%. These adjustable settings enable users to finely tune their vehicle’s braking balance by proportionately decreasing the pressure to the rear or, in certain cases, the front brake lines. For optimal performance, it is recommended that custom brake lines be utilized alongside this product. Customization for Performance It's important to note that there is no universal setting for each vehicle, as different front and rear weights can affect braking balance. For initial adjustments, start with the knob turned all the way out/up to provide the least amount of pressure to the rear. Then, thread the knob all the way in/down. This approach will help you explore both extremes of brake bias, providing valuable insight into the adjustments needed for your specific setup.
