AEM's X-Series Inline Wideband UEGO Air/Fuel Ratio Controllers leverage cutting-edge, patented, 100% digital technology, establishing them as the swiftest responding wideband air/fuel ratio controllers in comprehensive independent testing*. This model supersedes the renowned 30-2310 Inline Controller.
The X-Series Inline Wideband UEGO Controller showcases a weather-resistant, low-profile enclosure complemented by status LEDs. Designed for users prioritizing response time during data logging or feedback control in conjunction with engine management systems, this controller excludes a gauge display.
Included in the X-Series Inline Controller are a 0-5v and RS232 Serial Port output for feedback control and data logging, along with an AEMnet (CANbus) output. This allows for seamless data logging and daisy-chaining of multiple X-Series Controllers (supporting up to 16 cylinders) for simultaneous AFR recording. The controller accommodates vehicle/system voltages up to 16V and caters to EFI or carbureted applications, as well as dynamometers operating with various fuels such as gasoline, methanol, ethanol, Diesel, propane, and CNG.
Patented X-Digital Technology: The patented X-Digital wideband technology (Patent 9,575,030) equips these controllers with the capability to read and report values beyond the reach of other controllers. This feature facilitates more optimized engine tuning and ensures a safer overall operating condition. The high-speed digital implementation guarantees no compromise in signal fidelity and delivers full transient response, allowing the identification of even the slightest fluctuations in AFR, presented in complete value.
Importance of Response Time: AEM underscores the significance of response time in wideband feedback control, as it directly influences the safety, power, and accuracy of the tune. The X-Series Wideband Controllers with X-Series digital technology are engineered to minimize deadtime, enhancing the precision of AFR tuning. Deadtime, the delay between changes in exhaust gas composition and the reporting of such changes by the O2 sensor, is a critical factor. By minimizing deadtime, these controllers contribute to safer and more powerful tunes, particularly crucial for high compression, high-boost forced induction vehicles, and EFI systems reliant on feedback control for auto-tuning.
