The WGA, known as the high-performance internal wastegate actuator, is a solution designed to enhance boost control for internally wastegated turbos. It boasts a significantly larger diaphragm area compared to the OEM actuator, which grants the WGA greater control authority over the wastegate flap. This increased control means that exhaust backpressure is less likely to override the flap position, ultimately leading to more dependable and stable boost control.
For optimal boost control, the WGA is provided with three springs and a unique turnbuckle pre-load adjustment, allowing the configuration and adjustment of the base boost pressure within the range of 5psi to 24psi.

For Subaru WRX models from MY97-07 equipped with the factory TD04 turbo, the WGA part # 7304 is specifically designed to bolt on. It comes with the 5psi and 7psi springs pre-installed, resulting in a base pressure of 12psi. Additionally, the package includes the 10psi spring, providing further tuning possibilities.
It's important to note that while this product can be physically bolted on, it should primarily be regarded as a tuning tool. It will lead to an increase in boost pressure, necessitating tuning to ensure optimal performance.
