This system is intended for use with trucks featuring OEM plastic fuel tanks exclusively. Please note that some 1999 models may still be equipped with steel tanks, which are not compatible with this Phantom series. The 1999-2004 models equipped with plastic tanks, designed to work with this Phantom system, have smaller factory openings than the later 2005-2017 models. The latter models have their own series of Phantom drop-in kits.
The smaller openings in the 1999-2004 tanks restrict the pump configurations that can be accommodated. These tanks can support several pump options, including a single 340, a dual 340, and a single 450 pump. Any other combinations involving more or larger pumps will not physically fit through the factory tank opening.
For the Silverado and Sierra tanks, the depth is approximately 14.00 inches, while other models have shallower depths around 8.25 inches. The Phantom systems are compatible with both tank depths.
In the case of 2500 truck models, the depth can be up to 17.00 inches, and the Phantom system is designed to accommodate this as well.
Please be aware that this system is not configured for use with the OEM pulse-modulated-to-pressure pump control.
Installation of a return-style fuel system is required, including high-flow AN-style fuel lines, a fuel filter, and an EFI bypass regulator with a return line. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Aeromotive Tech Support.
Finally, it's important to note that this product is not compliant for sale or use on emission-controlled vehicles, except when used as a direct replacement part that matches OEM specifications.
